Lyocell is a sustainable fiber made from wood pulp using an advanced spinning process. The TENCEL™ manufacturing process is unique in that TENCEL™ is made through an eco-friendly process from natural raw wood, which is called "regenerated cellulose". It is a process by which raw wood is collected, broken into wood pulp, dissolved in a chemical solvent and then pushed through an extruder to form fibers.
Results? Ultra soft and fluffy fibers, like tiny tufts of clouds. Fabrics made from TENCEL™ Lyocell are known for their softness and environmental friendliness. In addition, TENCEL™ is renowned for its moisture wicking qualities (70% more absorbent than cotton). Because it is more breathable and naturally antibacterial, it is the perfect fabric for sleeping.
